Killing the child in me

Oh what would be
I’ll be nothing and a nobody
I fear to loose the child in me

It gives me room, it makes me brave
Provides the dreams which I so crave
Rolling on to the seaside wave

Without resources, without the power
I’m climbing further into the tower
Searching high up for my willpower

Letting the wind blow Peter Pan away
The fairy dust also has to make way
For adulthood and a hearsay

The war within me does have to stop
It is my marter and my strop
It just goes on and on, non-stop

Dear world,
I am the other and you’re not
You’ve no idea and also cannot
Be taught
